SUMMARY:Gallery 1261 & K Contemporary Exhibitions Opening April 7\, 2018 - Denver\, Colorado
DESCRIPTION:On April 7th\, Gallery 1261 is proud to present Spaces\, an extraordinary survey of both landscapes and cityscape works by four of the gallery’s leading artists. Valerio D’Ospina\, Dianne L. Massey Dunbar\, Ulrich Gleiter\, and Dale O Roberts all come together to showcase their perspectives on the environments we inhabit in their individual styles.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOpening April 7th\, K Contemporary is proud to present a solo exhibition for Suchitra Mattai\, a multi-disciplinary Denver artist with a growing international reputation. In this show\, Mattai will weave a powerful self-portrait of relationships at once intimate and infinite. Mattai’s gifted imagination draws upon a wealth of both memory and history to create compelling works that delight the eye and challenge the intellect. Having personally inhabited landscapes from Guyana to Nova Scotia\, from New York to Udaipur\, India\, and from Minneapolis to the Rocky Mountains\, she brings to “Sweet Asylum” a nomad’s perspective on the nature of home.
