Roosevelt Row, downtown Phoenix’s location for First Fridays and all things resurgent, is about to be graced with a grand (re)opening of the “intentional and built to last” space called The Pemberton.

Opened initially as a collective live music, food truck and pop-up location, The Pemberton’s groove was reimagined during the COVID pandemic close down, coming back strong this Friday, March 14th with special menu items and signature cocktails in their soon-to-be-very-popular-again venue for people and art watching. The entire place is designed for socially-distanced togetherness in a semi-enclosed outdoor setting filled with clever vignettes by more than 100 artists. Creator and chief imagination officer, Jonathon Vento, says he wants The Pemberton to be a place where everyone feels welcome and all walks of life can enjoy and escape the negativity in the world.

This weekend’s guest lists includes Valley Youth Theater, The Garment League, One n Ten , local musical acts and much more. 1211 N 2nd Street, a block east from the Japanese Friendship Garden. Opens at 4, 21 and over after 8pm. Hours vary, closed Monday/Tuesday. See great photos on their Instagram and check out thepemberton.com for more facts and figures. As fans of live music, murals, stage and art productions served with delicious chow, ArtBeat Magazine salutes The Pemberton with a hearty “Hell ya!”
